Leland Palmer

I was going to draw Bob today, but found a picture of Leland (Ray Wise) instead that looked really fun to draw.
And it was fun. Turned out fine, once again it partially works, partially doesn't. Photo reference used.

Death Race 2000

I don't think the background works, for as little time as I spent on this. But I like the character and text.

Slater

This one took a bit longer than I wanted, but i like how it turned out-- better than yesterday's, I think. At least it's more recognizable and has enough subtle caricature. Used shot reference from the film. Check you later!

R. P. McMurphy

Daily warm up ink drawing of Jack Nicholson from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest-- there are things I like about it, and things I don't. I was focusing too much on my process instead of making sure it looked like Jack. Every drawing based on a real person needs subtle caricature so that it instantly looks like them... this one does not, so to me it's only a fair representation. Without the hat and coat, it wouldn't be so easy to know exactly who it is. Photo reference used from the film.

The owls are not what they seem

One-a-day 2

I love Jack Davis. If I could draw like any comic book artist, it'd be him a thousand times over. Second daily sketch/warm up, trying to find a style of inking I like.

I'm trying to draw something fun and quick each day now that I'm working on a comic with a friend of mine. Today's warm up was a 15min ink drawing from this magnificent picture of Margaret Hamilton
